Fine dining has always been a feather in Regina Adelaide’s cap.
The hotel has two restaurants:
The Regina Adelaide restaurant, particularly appreciated by hotel guests, offers a constantly varied daily dinner menu with hors d’oeuvre, a choice from three first courses and four second courses, vegetables, cheeses and desserts. Dishes delight all palates and always include both traditional Italian cuisine and more innovative proposals without forgetting vegetarian dishes. All raw materials are the very freshest and are entirely processed in our kitchens.
In recent years we have also started a new à la carte restaurant, Regio Patio, located in an elegant dining room with trompe l’oeil lake frescos, furnished with antiques selected personally by the owner and with a splendid outdoor terrace facing over the garden.
Regio Patio is aimed at guests who want a compelling dining experience, a refined cuisine, attentive to all details, combining the best local raw materials with modern cooking methods.
(Entry is from Via San Francesco d’Assisi, 23 MAP, private parking, reservations by calling +39 045 7255977)
Both restaurants are superintended by Chef Andrea Costantini.
Andrea was born in Udine and studied in the mountains of the Veneto Region. After various experiences during the school period in Italy and Germany, and after earning his diploma, for four years he commuted back and forth between the Cervo Hotel in Porto Cervo and Badrutt’s Palace in St. Moritz.
He then went to work at the Solarola Inn in Castelguelfo, where he began working with the chef and his master Bruno Barbieri. He remained there for one year during which the second Michelin star was received. Then he went back to Switzerland for two years at the Relais & Chateaux Castello del Sole of Ascona, collaborating with another grand master of cuisine, chef Othmar Schlegel.
In 2001, when chef Bruno Barbieri was called to direct the kitchen of the Relais & Chateaux Villa del Quar, he asked Andrea to become his second chef. He spent nine years there during which two important goals were achieved: two Michelin stars and three Gambero Rosso forks.
In November 2010 he began collaborating with the Tedeschi Family at the Regina Adelaide hotel as chef de cuisine.
The Cellar, personally managed by director Stefano Barbieri together with sommelier Alexandra Marcher, features more than 300 labels, the most of which are Italian.
The patisserie is another of our passions. Annalisa, the hotel owner, began personally making cakes and jams over 30 years ago. Now our cakes and many other specialties can be tasted without having to go into the hotel or the restaurant but just by stopping at the new pastry shop I Dolci della Regina adjacent to the hotel (Via XX Settembre, 22 in Garda MAP).
