Traditional Garda Christmas event
29th November- 6th January
The 25th edition of the local Garda tradition "Christmas among the olive trees" is around the corner!
From November 29th to January 7th, Garda will evoke, with its festive mood, the magical atmosphere of north European countries. Numerous events for adults and children will be taking place all day long; click HERE for the complete program.
The pavilion of taste will propose local specialties for lunch and dinner; the colorful Christmas market, with its lakeside stalls and in Catullo Square, will present Christmas-themed items and culinary goods from all of Italy.
At the Christmas Village, creative workshops, readings and the “special” encounters with St. Lucy and Santa Claus are in place for the little ones. The lake-facing ice skating ring and the little train, with stops along the route, will also be there to amuse us.
Starting from 8th December, come visit the renowned Village Nativity Scene, set up outdoors. The green area of Parco delle Rimembranze will come alive with real life-size figures representing the Nativity scene.
On St. Sylvester night, New Year’s Eve, a big celebration in the main square with musical entertainment and a pyrotechnic show will be hosted; on 6th January at 18:00 at Arena Amphitheater the folkloristic “Bruiel” will take place, that is the “Befana” Bonfire, with music, songs, sanvigilini biscuits and mulled wine for those attending.
Furthermore, don’t forget to visit the territorial Museum of Lake Garda right in the heart of the event (Lungolago Regina Adelaide, 14. Opening hours: 10.00 - 12.30 • 14:30 - 17:30)
