On Monday, October 13th, 2025, at the Marzadro Distillery, we received the award “Cuisine that Honors the Territory”, presented by Venezie a Tavola in collaboration with Lattebusche.

We have been featured in the guide for several years, and this year’s important recognition — which celebrates our daily commitment to offering an authentic cuisine deeply rooted in the local territory — fills us with joy.

A special thank-you to the renowned journalist and food critic Luigi Costa for believing in our culinary vision, in our respect for local ingredients, and in our ability to transform them into dishes that tell the story of Lake Garda with sensitivity and balance.

Gianpiero Tedeschi commented on the award as follows:

"This recognition makes us truly happy. We are sincerely grateful to Luigi Costa, the entire Venezie a Tavola editorial team, and of course to the sponsor of this award, Lattebusche.

Our journey to create a modern yet authentic local cuisine began more than ten years ago, around 2014, when we were striving to give our fine-dining restaurant a strong identity while also satisfying our international clientele, always eager to discover the excellence and uniqueness of our territory. The love for our family’s Garda and Veronese roots, together with the curiosity of our then newly arrived Friulian chef, Andrea Costantini, for less common ingredients such as lake fish, did the rest.

These have been ten intense and passionate years, during which Andrea has created many original dishes and pairings that, I believe, were ahead of their time and in some way helped pave the way for other colleagues as well. I’m thinking, for instance, of now-iconic dishes such as:

Lettuce, honey, white chocolate and Garda EVO oilChar sashimi and liver, lemon and hibiscusGratinated whitefish and brains, lemon and Verona celery; the Lake Ramen, Non-lard; and of course the more recent Lake Oyster.

Today, we see many fellow chefs around Lake Garda following this path, recognizing the value of our territory and its products, and working to enhance them — thus binding their identity to something unique and impossible to replicate elsewhere.

For us, of course, the adventure continues. Regio Patio is only sixteen years old, still a young restaurant, and we like to think we can keep evolving — becoming an even more special place and planting a few more seeds for what will be the cuisine of Lake Garda in the future."
