This is how the letter began announcing a truly important and special award that we are very proud of!
The Guide to Eating and Drinking Well in Veneto by Il Giornale di Vicenza, edited by food and wine journalist Alberto Tonello, was previewed on December 16 at Palazzo Repeta (Vicenza) during a grand Gala that featured starred chef Matteo Grandi and a special guest: his colleague and television personality, Carlo Cracco. On newsstands from December 17, the guide reviews with journalistic profiles well over 123 wineries and 364 restaurants throughout the Region.
A special thanks goes to our chef Andrea Costantini, to the maître and sommelier Nicola Tumicelli, to all the kitchen and dining room staff and to our loyal customers who allow us to reach such important goals every time.
For us this is a very significant recognition, in various aspects. First of all, we appreciate its provenance: we have great respect and esteem for the curator of the guide. Alberto Tonello, who we have known for years, is an extremely prepared professional and, at the same time, a serious and independent critic.
It is also an important sign of appreciation for the great work of growth and research carried out both in the kitchen, thanks to chef Andrea Costantini, with us at Regio Patio for almost 15 years, and in the dining room, where the service standards have constantly risen, especially in recent years thanks to the commitment and great motivation of Nicola Tumicelli.
We also hope to have honored with this work the wonderful territory of Garda, its fishermen, breeders and producers, exalting and making known the fruits of their daily labors.
Finally, this award is a great incentive to move forward with enthusiasm and continue to give beautiful moments of serenity and pleasure to our guests, in a work environment that is increasingly attentive to social and environmental sustainability.
