Like last year, our gourmet restaurant Regio Patio has been awarded the prestigious Veneto Food Excellence 2023 recognition: the award recognizes 47 excellent Veneto restaurants, selected through a comparison of the most well-known and widely read food guides.

The initiative, called "The Land of Venice – Food Excellence" is organized by FIPE (Italian Federation of Public Businesses) - Confcommercio Veneto, with the patronage of the Veneto Region. The plaque presented to the winners, crafted from Vaia wood, is a sign of recognition for the positive image these businesses convey, both nationally and internationally, of the region.

Food and wine are a driving force behind regional tourism, and the hospitality sector, which comprises approximately 26,000 businesses in Veneto, employs over 120,000 people and generates a turnover of over €6 billion. "The award given to excellence in the restaurant industry," says Paolo Artelio, President of FIPE-Confcommercio Veneto, "is also a recognition of all our region's hospitality businesses. Recognizing these excellent restaurants is also a motivation for all our fellow business owners: a motivation to focus on quality, to not give up in the face of challenges, and to have faith in our ability to innovate, while respecting tradition and local, seasonal products."
