The 98th edition of MICAM Milano, a leading international event in the footwear sector, debuts with an exceptional collaboration: from 15 to 17 September 2024 at Fiera Milano, 7 Ambassadors of Taste from all over Italy will play a key role in the storytelling dedicated to Italian gastronomic excellence.

In Pavilion 5, at the MICAM TASTE ARENA, they will present to visitors and buyers from all over the world the incredible gastronomic culture of our country combined with the renowned Made in Italy craftsmanship, enhancing our seven regional districts: Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Marche, Campania, Puglia.

Our chef Andrea Costantini has been called to represent Veneto: he will promote some specificities of the region through show cooking and tastings. Throughout the event, it will be possible to taste one of his latest creations dedicated to the territory: the "Pastissada di tinca", a fun contemporary reinterpretation "alla gardesana" of the traditional Veronese dish "Pastissada de Caval". It is eaten playfully with the hands, inviting you to experiment with a playful and informal aspect.

"The synergy developed with the Italian Association of Ambassadors of Taste represents the perfect meeting between two excellences of Made in Italy, footwear manufacturing and Italian cuisine" says Giovanna Ceolini President of MICAM. "A project that runs on the dual track of creativity and quality of the proposal. They are two strategic sectors not only for our economy, also in terms of employment impact but because they are distinctive of the Italian cultural and social heritage. We will present to the MICAM public some of the most talented chefs, starred and not, of the national culinary scene and I am sure that their dishes will be able to seduce the most demanding palates. An initiative that will make our event even richer and more attractive".

"The exploration and contamination of worlds other than that of cooking has always been a characterizing element of our approach" explains Gianluca De Cristofaro, director of the Italian Association of Taste Ambassadors. "At MICAM we will tell the identity and peculiarities of the Italian territories by offering visitors to the fair a new and exclusive multisensory experience. It will be a beautiful dialogue between culinary art and footwear, craftsmanship to wear and taste, two worlds that have always represented quality Made in Italy."
